FAST Scenarios
"Realms of Ascension: In the
Court of the Minotaur King" by Steve Bruns
The weapon in your hand is sharp, but it is merely a replacement for the one
that is your ancestral birthright: Ebon Stormstrike, snatched from your dead father’s
hands even as the priests and wizards prepared his body for burial. You’ve tracked
the thieves all over the sky kingdoms: from the castles of the Stratan Freehold…to
the Cellestan City-states… scoured every Genoan port…even venturing to the wild lands below the cloud kingdoms. But now a new lead has turned up and by the gods,
living and dead, you will have justice!
"Anita Blake: "It’s a Dirty Job… " by Woody Babb
"… and I get to do it." Welcome to modern day St. Louis where vampires and werewolves
not only exist, they’re citizens protected by law. A bizarre thread links a routine
zombie-raising, the theft of Egyptian artifacts, some missing children, and a series
of lycanthrope-suspected murders. But when a vampire enforcer arrives from Chicago,
it all really hits the fan! Can the players uncover the insidious plot, stop an
ancient evil, and avoid killing each other before it’s too late?
"Undercover Cool: Secrets of the Deep Cold" by Steve Bruns
Good afternoon, Mr. Smith, and congratulations on wrapping up the Budapest case.
President Kennedy sends his thanks. Lights, please. The first slide you’re looking
at is an aerial view of one of our research bases, called Spyglass, located in the
arctic wilderness. Before the collapse of the Soviet Empire in ’57, its purpose
was to monitor their satellites. But now it’s been given a new purpose: to track
any unidentified orbital traffic, and believe me, there’s plenty of lunatics
out there who would love to park a nuke in orbit over New York: the Fourth Reich, Black
Lotus, the Hammer & Sickle…next slide, please. Spyglass is run by this man,
Dr. Benton Quest, and Dr. Quest has gone missing…
"Firefly: The Famous Wobbly-Headed Doll Caper" by Larry
Babb
What could be more bracing than a little petty theft in Alliance territory on Unification
Day? Unfortunately, the crew of Serenity soon discovers their cargo of geisha dolls
is attracting all sorts of unpleasant attention. Perhaps there were some details
Badger neglected to mention when he set up this job.
"The Nightmare Before Neverland" by Steve Bruns
“Twas a long time ago, longer now than it seems,
In a place that perhaps you've heard of before dreams.
For the story that you are about to be told,
Takes place in fairytale worlds of old…”
What happens when evil from one world crosses over to another? Can Jack Skellington
and his allies put things right and save BOTH Halloweentown and the fairytale lands
of the Kingdom of Kitch?
"Watchmen: 'Honor Is Like The Hawk…'" by Woody Babb
“…Sometimes It Must Go Hooded.”
Rorschach’s Journal. October 17th, 1975.
Found cockroaches crawling in overturned garbage. Later, observed human vermin wallowing
in the filth of their drugs, alcohol, and promiscuous lifestyles. Similarities are
no coincidence. Searching for evidence of illegal immigrants connected to raging
New York mob war with help of Nite Owl. Silk Spectre and Ozymandias checking into
stolen military equipment, suspect Communist spy ring. Comedian rumored to be back in town. Tensions between police and costumed heroes are mounting; rumors of banning
vigilantes soon. Nevertheless, evil must be punished. I believe I shall take my
exercise.
"Ghost in the Shell: Checkmate!"
The cybernetic agents of Section 9 are sent to find a missing American scientist,
but all the clues indicate something bigger at stake. Who is the mysterious Chess
King and can Section 9 beat this criminal mastermind at his own game? This cyberpunk
scenario was inspired by Masamune Shirow’s manga/anime series.
